לְקִי, לְקָאch. sam( Hif. הִלְקָה sickly, broken down), to be affected, disordered, smitten, punished. Targ. O. Ex. 5:14 לְקוֹ (Y. לָקוּ). Ib. 16 לָקָן (Y. לָקְיָין). Ib. 9:31, sq. Targ. Y. I Num. 26:11; a. fr.Tem.4b אמאי לָקֵי why should he be punished?Ib. 5a הא נמי לִילְקֵי let him, too, be punished.
